Former OHS President Dr. Bryan E. Walls C.M. O. Ont. DDS and his wife Anna run the John Freeman Walls Historic Site and Underground Railroad Museum in Lakeshore, Ontario. As OHS President Dr. Walls was a fierce advocate for the Society's Cemetery Defence Program. In 2014, Dr. Walls and Mrs. Brittany Miles, M.Ed, delivered an OHS webinar entitled "Learning & Teaching Black History in Ontario".
Bryan and Shannon Prince of the Buxton National Historic Site and Museum were this year's recipients of the Ontario Black History Society's "Harriet Tubman-Commitment with a Purpose Award". As curators of the Buxton National Historic Site and Museum, Bryan and Shannon have been longtime members of the Ontario Historical Society.
